Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us on this tour! We had the time of our lives, shows were sold out, people were singing along, wild belle were the sweetest and we are mildly depressed to be back home. All that to say… We can’t wait to do it again.
We are excited to announce that we will be hitting the road again in November. These will be the last DSD shows of the year and we are planning on having some sweet limited edition merch with us as well!
A few months ago, I called up our ridiculously talented friend, Matt Wignall (who also recorded most of “History Speaks”), and told him it was time to make a music video. A week later, he flew up from CA to our hood and we spent the next two nights climbing in the woods, and filming as much as we could with one camera and a single light. Theres a very closely cradeled spirit about everything connected to History Speaks. We paid for and put out this record ourselves, and although its more work than we ever imagined, we are thankful that we get to work alongside our friends who we deeply respect.
Check out the full article that I did with Spinner blog HERE for more details on the video.
No need to wait any longer. “History Speaks” is now available on CD ( as well as vinyl ) New artwork includes additional credits, new band photo by Matt Wignall, and the TW Walsh remastered audio. It looks tasty. You can order them exclusively at our bandcamp site www.thedeepseadiver.bandcamp.com
Tonight is the first DSD show with the Shins in Minneapolis. Hoping it goes well. I face planted last week in front of 40,000 people at Sasquatch on the last Shins song, so i’ve already fufilled had my embarrassing moment for the tour
We are excited to announce that History Speaks will be available on CD starting June 1st. We were lucky enough to have our friend TW WALSH remaster the record. He’s legit! He also has a phenomenal record out that you can listen to here.
The new remasters are up on our bandcamp site now. For those of you purchased the record before May 10th and would like to download the new masters, please email us at newDSD@gmail.com and include the name you purchased the record under and we will send you a link to the new masters for free.
Check back soon for new merch and CD pre-order info!
Great news, we just teamed up with Billions. After booking our own shows/tours for a few years, it is such a relief to know that we are working with such talented people who care deeply about their bands.
So yes, its official! please send any DSD booking inquiries to email@example.com

Huge shout out to Matt Maust for killing it on our album artwork. Its gonna look so tasty on vinyl. Thats right! We are printing vinyl and boy do we have some sweet limited edition plans up our sleeve. Sign up on the mailing list to make sure you get first dibs.
When can I hear some music you might ask? Monday Feb 6th. We will be streaming the first single “You Go Running” on the website.
Also, Seattle Weekly’s Reverb Monthly graciously put me on the cover of their mag. it comes out today, so go get one!
Sitting in my room at the Jupiter, downloading as many episodes of Breaking Bad as I can to watch while on tour. There’s a few distasteful drives, and I’m sure everyone else in the van will appreciate the genius of that show. Had to come to portland a few days early because tomorrow we shoot the Shins video for “Simple Song” At the present moment I am practicing my acting faces in the mirror. They are an egregious offense against any sort of talent, but i’m looking forward to making a mockery of myself.
Excited to share our album art soon. Our dear friend Matt Maust doing the design, and totally killing it.
We are excited to announce that on February 24th, we will be releasing our new record as well as throwing a release party at Columbia City Theater! I’ll holler as soon as pre-sale tickets are available. I’ll also be posting the track listing, album art, new videos etc on the new site over the next few weeks.
We are also heading out on a west coast tour in January with our friend Bryan John Appleby. Dont forget to check out the tour dates below. I am unbelievably afraid of black ice and and snowy drives but its gonna be allll goood.

Exciting times ahead, seriously. Between the January w. coast tour, our record release in February and Shins madness, its gonna be a crazy year. I was going to wait to put up this site until Jan, but I wanted to be sure that everyone got to download the Christmas song I recorded in time for the holiday. Be sure to sign up on the mailing list to receive the link.
At the moment we’re editing a live session we recorded that has 4 new songs from the record. here’s a sneak peak of the video portion below
